On January 12, 2014, Compuware was victorious in the Outdoor Winter Festival beating the Birmingham Rangers 1-0.  The game was a perfect setting with temperatures hovering in the low 30’s, perfect for an outdoor hockey game.  Both teams competed hard in a tough defensive battle.  The lone goal was set up by a great indirect board pass to Compuware’s big rushing forward who skated past the Birmingham Rangers defense and skated to the “far post” for the only goal of the game.  Both of Compuware’s goaltenders were also on fire as they split the goaltending duties and earned a team shutout.
