Compuware Excels at MAHA Tier 1 Showcase; September 2021
The MAHA Tier 1 Showcase returned to the Troy Sports Center on September 10-12, 2021.
The event highlighted the 14U through 18U Divisions from all of Michigan’s Tier I (AAA) organizations. Teams from each division competed in a three-game schedule over the course of the weekend, occupying all rinks at the Troy Sports Center.
The Showcase in September provides college and junior coaches the first look at teams and players for the season, in a highly competitive environment.
The inaugural MAHA Tier I Showcase was held in 2019. A follow-up event in 2020 was cancelled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event’s 2021 return represents more than highlighting the state’s top talent.
Compuware teams went: 10 wins, 1 losses, 1 overtime loss in a shootout.
14U defeated Fox Motors 3-0, Victory Honda 6-4, Belle Tire 7-3
15O defeated Victory Honda 4-2, Oakland Junior Grizzlies 5-2; lost to Little Caesars 1-5
16O defeated Oakland Junior Grizzlies 2-1, Biggby Coffee 6-1, Fox Motors 3-0
18U defeated the Soo Indians 2-1; lost in an overtime shoot out to Oakland Junior Grizzlies 1-2; and defeated Victory Honda 2-1
