Beginning with the 2011-12 season, USA Hockey instituted what they call ‘On Line Age Specific Training Modules’.  As the name implies, these classes are delivered on line.  There is one class for each age division: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16/18U.  Every head and or assistant coach in the United States is required to complete this training by December 31 or they have to come off the team roster.  Many of the topics are directly related to you the parent.  Please take some time to read these documents.  You will be a better informed hockey parent.  It will help you understand how you child is being coached and what you can do to give your child the best opportunity to succeed and enjoy the game of hockey
