Peter is a Level 4 certified USA Hockey Coach.  Pete has been playing hockey for almost 40 years, starting out in youth hockey based out of Port Huron followed by six years of travel competing in the Ontario Hockey leagues. Pete lettered four years varsity hockey and led his team as a three year captain and qualified for state finals.  With 40 years of being passionate about the game of hockey, Coach Woods has ten years of youth hockey coaching experience. His coaching style focuses on fundamentals, skill development, hard work, and most of all having fun and forging friendships.  Pete was the Bantam A head coach at Compuware Youth Hockey last season. This is his fourth year with the Compuware Hockey Association. 


Bantam A '05 Head Coach Gordie Lietz

Gordie has over 20 years of coaching experience: Squirt AA through Midget AA.   Coach Lietz played in the North American Hockey League.  He has strong connections to the Michigan Hockey community.  Gordie works to develop kid’s passion for the game and will focus primarily on increasing player skill.  Gordie is non-parental and is a Level 4 certified USA Hockey Coach.  Gordie was the PeeWee AA head coach at Compuware Youth Hockey last season.


PeeWee Tier 2 '06 Head Brian Tucker

Brian is a Level 4 certified USA Hockey Coach and has been coaching youth hockey for over ten years at various levels from mites through bantams.  He has over 40 years of hockey experience and continues to play today.  This is Brian's third year with Compuware Youth Hockey.  Brian's coaching style focuses on fundamentals, skill development, working hard, being a great teammate, learning life lessons, and having fun in the entire process.


PeeWee A '07 Head Coach Matt Mitchell

Matt is a Level 4 certified USA Hockey Coach and has been coaching youth hockey for 20 years; 15 years as a head coach and six years as an assistant with the 1993 and 1999 birth years, and three years as head coach with the ‘02-03 AAA girls birth year.  He has been both a parent and non-parental coach and has coached from learn to play hockey to the High School level.  Matt is non-parental and his coaching staff’s philosophy is to develop hockey players to their highest capabilities and to help guide players to the level of hockey they desire.  Matt was the Squirt AA head coach at Compuware Youth Hockey last season.


Squirt Tier 2 '08 Head Coach John Brown

John began playing hockey at the age of three and grew up in a hockey family with both parents heavily involved with youth hockey administration and coaching. He was a member of the Lakeland Hawks travel teams for seven seasons before heading to Milford High School where he played at the varsity level for all four of his years in high school. John was recognized as a team captain as well as being named All-State, All-Conference and All-County during his High School career. He went on to play for the CSHL Metro Jets. He returned to Milford High School as an Assistant Coach where he remained for the next three seasons. John has worked at a number of hockey schools as an instructor and was also a registered Official (referee) for several seasons.  John is a certified Level 2 USA Hockey coach.


Squirt A '09 Head Coach Andrew Weidenbach Jr

Andy Jr played his youth hockey with Compuware Youth Hockey and went on to play college at Yale University followed by a couple of years of professional hockey. Following his playing career, Andy Jr coached hockey in various positions at Cranbrook Schools. From 2005-2013, Andy Jr served as an assistant coach on Cranbrook's Boy's Varsity team winning five State championships and having several players go on to play in college, minor pro, and the NHL. For more than 25 years, Andy Jr has spent his summers instructing hockey at both his own and others hockey camps. Most recently, Andy Jr has served as the Compuware mini-mite/mite coach for the past four seasons. Andy Jr is a Level 1 certified USA Hockey Coach.


Mite AA '10 Head Coach Chris O'Donohue

Chris is presently a Level 2 certified USA Hockey Coach, as well as player and coach for 30 plus years. Chris has years of experience with USA Hockey and the ADM model, working with various age groups including learn to play, mini-mites, mites, squirts and peewee hockey. In addition, an experienced head coach and or assistant with travel hockey programs ranging from mite thru high school over the last 20 years.  Chris is dedicated to helping youth players with skill development, teaching and raising their level of competition, as well as instilling a respect and love for the game of hockey.
