The Compuware Youth Hockey 14U Tier 1 Bantam Majors, coached by Ryan Barnes, won the prestigious MAHA State Championships this weekend. In round robin play they defeated: Victory Honda (13-0), Fox Motors (9-1), and Honeybaked (5-1).  In the semis,  they defeated the Oakland Jr Grizzlies 6-1.  In the finals, they faced Victory Honda again to a much different result.  The first game went to four overtimes, with Compuware victorious: 3-2. The finals are the best two of three and on Sunday morning, Compuware won their second game over VH 5-2 clinching the State Championship and a trip to the USA Hockey Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina, April 5-10, 2018.
